EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Always check with the superintendant at Scar House Reservoir or call Yorkshire Water for warnings of Scour testing (typically performed annually) or overtopping at Scar House Reservoir (e.g. in high winds, when water can be blown over the reservoir). This can cause serious downstream flooding including Manchester Hole.

No restrictions

No permission is required. Please be courtous to land owners and follow an reasonable requests they make. Park with respect and don't block gateways etc.

Nidd Heads resurgences – access from My Steve Harker of Thrope Farm. No permission required. Car parking in small area by the wall next to Nidd Heads NW rising. If car already there park in the village of Lofthouse as only room for one car. For divers, call at My Harkers to get permission to take vehicles into the field.
