Access

Access to Boreham Cave was lost for over three decades. A very limited access arrangement has been reached between the landowner, farmer and CNCC for a program of scientific and conservation monitoring visits, currently 3 access visits per year. The agreement is reviewed annually. ANY attempt to gain access to the cave outside this agreement, including contacting or approaching the farmer directly will result in loss of this access. The cave has been gated and locked by the landowner. There is no significant cave accessible without cave diving equipment and the training and experience to use it in typically 'UK' conditions. Anyone interested in visiting the cave should contact the Secretary of the Cave Diving Group Northern Section, whose address can be found on the CDG website at www.cavedivinggroup.org.uk
